MIL-C-38999 Series III connectors rated for 1500 mating cycles are available for applications where the standard version, rated for 500 mating cycles, cannot provide the guarantee of reliability required.

These connectors have stainless steel or corrosion-resistant shells of aluminium alloy with cadmium over nickel plating that will withstand a 500 hour salt spray exposure test.

A triple lead thread and self locking coupling, enables them to pass rugged high temperature (200°C) vibration tests and still provide outstanding EMI shielding up to 65dB at 10GHz.

The triple lead thread provides complete mating and self-locking in a 360° turn of the coupling nut. This is of particular advantage in confined spaces where conventional coupling is difficult to complete and needs to be verified by inspection.

Nine shell sizes accommodate from 1 to 128 contacts rated from 5 to 23 amps.

A variety of shell styles and modifications are available – hermetic sealing, lanyard release, jam nut receptacles, alternate polarisations.
